Fertility Yoga

Thursdays 6:15 PM, Saturdays 11:00 AM

Special fertility poses and techniques taught by an experienced nurse midwife and yoga instructor. Our yoga classes are therapeutic, not fitness-oriented. Designed for beginners, these classes are very small (no more than 7 people), allowing the instructor to provide individual feedback to each student. You will receive personal attention to help you reach a level of proficiency that you can continue at home or at a public yoga class.

A welcoming, diverse group for anyone experiencing infertility problems. Co-ed, gay-friendly, professionally led.  Join us to learn mind-body based practices and techniques to ease the stress of infertility. We discuss treatment and family building options, encourage questions and conversation, and provide support and understanding in challenging times.

Coping with Pregnancy Loss

The emotions following a miscarriage, stillbirth or termination due to prenatal diagnosis can be extremely painful and bewildering.  In this session, we'll discuss grief reactions specific to pregnancy loss.  The topics of self-care, partner expectations and reactions, telling others, asking for support and trying again will be addressed.  Information regarding local resources such as support groups, individual/couples therapy and memorials will be provided.

Support Group for Fertility Challenged Women

FIRST MONDAY each month,  6:15 PM - 7:45 PM

This monthly, women-only support group will help you to feel less isolated, empower you with knowledge, and validate your emotional responses to the life crisis of fertility challenges. One of the most important benefits of participating in a support group is a decrease in the sense of isolation that so many people feel when they are struggling with fertility.

Lifestyle & Nutrition for Improving Fertility

Nutrition and diet habits can have a great impact on improving fertility, and may even be at the root of fertility problems. During this one-hour talk, we will cover the basics of good nutrition for fertility and pregnancy, and answer any questions you may have about your diet.

Join us to learn how certain key vitamins and diet changes can dramatically improve your fertility.  We will cover a basic fertility diet, how to “listen” to your body when making changes, key nutrients for improving fertility, and the Chinese approach to fertility nutrition.

Struggles with fertility can be one of the most difficult things for a woman – and a couple – to face. Is this infertility battle taking control of your life and ruining your days? Are you losing sleep over your fertility issues and withdrawing from life?  Amoreena Berg, a family therapist specializing in fertility issues, has been there too – she has had her own personal journey with fertility issues.  

This talk will provide you with some tools to get the stress of infertility under control. Birds & Bees: Your Fertile Body

Whether you are just starting your fertility journey, or are deep in a world of blood tests and medical exams, you may have lost touch with basic knowledge about reproduction and fertility.  Have you ever had a professional explain the basics and answer your questions about hormones, menstrual periods, sperm counts, and ovulation?  


This class is a friendly and comprehensive introduction to the birds-and-bees basics of human reproduction.  The knowledge you gain will make you a much more educated patient, better able to understand your current situation, and better equipped to evaluate your treatment options. The class is taught by Ivy Chen, the Bay Area's best known sexual health educator,  She has been featured in television and print media, and is known for fun, dynamic and interactive presentations.
